| July 1955 | Sogo Blood Bank, Inc. was founded in Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, with the purpose of manufacturing and selling preserved blood. |

| Mar. 1964 | With the centralization of transfusion blood handling at the Japanese Red Cross Blood Center, work began on diversifying into clinical testing services. |
