July 1955 | Sogo Blood Bank, Inc. was founded in Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, with the purpose of manufacturing and selling preserved blood. |

Mar. 1964 | With the centralization of transfusion blood handling at the Japanese Red Cross Blood Center, work began on diversifying into clinical testing services. |
Aug. 1967 | A clinical laboratory was established and contracted clinical testing began. |
Apr. 1973 | Japan Clinical Service, Inc. was founded to handle specimen collection and delivery. |
Oct. 1975 | A sales office was established in Toyama City, Toyama Prefecture, and work began on building a nationwide sales office network. |
